I always thought I only had the attention span of a flash fiction writer, so that’s what I wrote. You know, fiction you could bang out on a coffee break at your job as a corporate tool. But now that I’m a history teacher, I have a whole summer to write more substantial stuff. Unfortunately, my characters figured it out and tormented me about writing them into a book. Several pots of coffee later, I’m writing a series of five, maybe seven, time-travel/historical/fantasy romances called The Journeymen. In order to write, I am neglecting a lovely husband/editor, two teen sons/beta readers, my music, and my historical reenactor friends here in Austin, Texas.
